Registration is team-based, so recruit your friends, family, co-workers, and neighbors. Don't forget to pick an awesome team name. Select a team captain to create the team. The captain will set up the team by clicking REGISTER and creating the team page. Once the team is created, those given the team name and password can join or the captain can email invitations. Players must then register to join the team by clicking on the REGISTER button above and choosing the TEAM option. Are you an individual looking to play as a free agent? Click the TEAM option and enter "Free Agent" as the team name and "freeagent" as the password. Simply complete your registration and we'll add you to the Free Agent team. Teams must have between 12 and 15 players. There must be three (3) players of each gender on the roster and two (2) of each gender on defense at all times (10 total defenders in the field).  If the situation arises that two (2) of each gender are not available due to injury or other reasons to play defense, that open position will remain unfilled in the field of play (not counting the catching position) and an out will be counted against that team when that spot comes up in the lineup. Please staff your roster to ensure you do not play with an unfilled position.   How do I get to the 122nd and Blue River Athletic Fields? The Blue River Athletic Fields are just southwest of the Cerner campus located near the Grandview Triangle.  From Highway 71: Exit at Red Bridge Road and head west for 3.8 miles to Blue River Road. Turn south (left) on Blue River Road and proceed for 2 miles. The venue will be on your right. From 435: Exit at Holmes Road and head south for 1 mile to Red Bridge Road. Turn east (left) on Red Bridge road for 1 mile to Blue River Road. Turn south (right) on Blue River Road and proceed for 2 miles. The venue will be on your right. Beer will be sold at the event and may only be bought and consumed by people 21 and older. All players must sign a liability waiver and photography/video waiver. What can/can't I bring to the event? - Youth Volunteer Corps strongly encourages all team participants and spectators to bring lawn chairs as no seating will be available along the field sidelines. There will be a concession tent with tables and chairs.- Bring sunscreen, hat, bottled water, bug spray, umbrella, etc. - anything mandated by the weather.- Dogs are allowed but must be kept on a leash at all times. Owners are responsible for cleaning up after their pets. - Outside alcohol beverages will not be permitted due to Jackson County laws and regulations.- Beer will be available for purchase for those 21 and older.
