Before becoming a Platinum rapper, Young Jeezy (or just Jeezy) was a member of the rap supergroup - Boyz N Da Hood. Following the success, Young Jeezy embarked on a rap career that has spawned three albums, two of which hit #1, and three Grammy nominations.
With the backing of music industry heavyweight, L.A. Reid, Young Jeezy was signed to Def Jam Records and released his major label debut, Let's Get It: Thug Motivation 101, in 2005. The album debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200, and featured the hit single "Soul Survivor". He released his sophomore set, The Inspiration: Thug Motivation 201 (2006) and his third album, The Recession (2008), both of which hit #1 on the Billboard 200. The single "Put On", featuring Kanye, was nominated for two Grammy Awards and earned him a Gold plaque.

YFN Lucci began rapping at the age of 16; by the next year, in 2014, he made his professional debut on a Johnny Cinco mixtape. Before 2014 had even finished, YFN Lucci had signed to the TIG label and released his own debut mixtape, titled Wish Me Well. The mixtape's follow-up, Wish Me Well, Vol. 2, was released in 2016 and featured the hit single, "Key to the Streets".
